Oxford African American Studies Center

The Oxford AASC combines the authority of reference works with sophisticated technology to create the most comprehensive collection of scholarship to focus on the lives and events which have shaped African American and African history and culture.

How do I borrow material from the Library?

To borrow material from the Library, bring the items you would like to check out to our circulation desk. You will need your MCTC ID which also works as your library card.


Where do I return items?

Items can be returned at our circulation desk, or at the book drop which is located just outside the main entrance of Wheelock Whitney Hall.


How do I access Resources from off campus?

To access Resources from off campus you will need your StarID username and password.


Where can I find research help?

We offer a number of services to assist you. Ask a Librarian in person or online, or consult one of our handy research guides, handouts or video tutorials.


How can I donate books to the Library?

Thank you for thinking of the MCTC library, we do appreciate donations of recent books in good condition. Please read our guidelines for information on donating material.
